National police checks
For emergency services roles at Parks Victoria, such as seasonal project fire fighters, prospective employees are required to undergo a national police record check prior to employment.
If a police record check is required for the role you are applying for, you will be asked to acknowledge this in your job application and consent to the results of the check being sent directly to Parks Victoria.
We will let you know when, and if, you need to complete the consent form.
Having a criminal record doesn’t automatically exclude you from employment with Parks Victoria. Our Human Resources branch will make an assessment on suitability for employment.
How to apply
If you’re asked to complete the consent form, carefully read all the instructions, complete the application form and attach all necessary documents.
Victoria Police application form - Consent to check and release National Police Record (PDF - 2.9 MB)
This form can only be completed using Adobe Reader version 8 or above. To download the latest version of Adobe, go to their website.
Please note:
- No payment is necessary. Parks Victoria will pay the cost processing your application.
- Return the form to Parks Victoria at the time of your interview. Do not return to Victoria Police directly.
- Some parts of the form have already been completed for you. Please do not change this information.
- Leave the signature block in Section D blank.
- If the person who is certifying your ID does not have a provider/register number, leave this box blank.
- If you have not already arranged certified photocopies of your ID, bring the photocopies along with the original ID documents and your completed form to your interview and an authorised person at Parks Victoria will certify them for you.
If you have any queries regarding the process, contact Ian McKay, Recruiter, on 13 1963.
