76 park roads being repaired and improved around Inglewood

Monday 26 June, 2017

Seventy six roads and tracks in parks around Inglewood are being repaired or upgraded as part of a park roadwork program across Central Victoria.

Parks Victoria has recently invested $180,000 to repair and upgrade roads in parks around Inglewood, Bendigo, Castlemaine, Maldon and St Arnaud, following storm and water damage late last year. The work is on target to be completed in the coming fortnight.

These works will improve strategic access for firefighting as well as the safety of visitors using tracks and roads in various parks.

Roads and tracks in the Inglewood area have and will be repaired in Kooyoora State Park, Kara Kara National Park, Paddys Ranges State Park, St Arnaud Regional Park, Moliagul Historic Area, and the following Nature Conservation Areas: Waanyarra, Tottington, Percydale, Landsborough, Inglewood, Havelock and Dalynong.

For updates on park access visit www.parks.vic.gov.au or call 13 1963.

Quotes attributable to Karen Doyle, Area Chief Ranger, Parks Victoria:

Work on 76 roads and tracks around Inglewood has been progressing well over the past six weeks and is almost complete. Parks Victoria timed the works to minimise disruption to our visitors and we’d like to thank the public for their patience during the works.

Parks Victoria and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning are working together on this program.
