Autumn Plant Sale at George Tindale Memorial Garden

Monday 31 March, 2014

The community are invited to join the Friends of Tindale Garden for their annual Autumn Plant Sale at the George Tindale Memorial Gardens. The sale will be held from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 12th April 2014.

The selection of plants on offer will include varieties that will add colour to any garden such as Hydrangeas, Fuchsias, autumn flowering bulbs, Cyclamen, versatile succulents and many other plants.

A botanical art display will be on view and the Friends of Tindale Garden will also be available to provide advice on the horticultural requirements of newly purchased plants.

“The George Tindale Memorial Garden is a wonderful place to view plants growing in cool climate conditions,” said President of the Friends of Tindale Garden Rod Cantrill.

“The miniature carpet cyclamen form a spectacular display at this time of year as they spread their colour throughout the gardens,”

“The money raised through the plant sale will help the Friends of Tindale Garden continue with projects in the garden, such as the propagation of the beautiful Hydrangea collection, so we encourage the visitors to support this day and enhance your own gardens at the same time.” continued Mr Cantrill.

The George Tindale Memorial Garden is located at 33 Sherbrooke Road, Sherbrooke (Melway Reference: Map 75 J2). Entry into the gardens is by donation.
