Mournpall Track closure as Living Murray works progress
Friday 24 August, 2012
As part of the Living Murray environmental works program in the Hattah Kulkyne National Park, a section of the Mournpall Track between the northern entrance (at Goosefoot Track) and the Woterap Gate (near Boolungal Track) has been temporarily closed.
This is to allow works on the Bitterang Levee near Eagles Nest Track.
As these works will involve heavy earthmoving machinery, the track has been closed for public safety reasons.
It is anticipated it will be closed for up to two months depending on site conditions.
The River Track including Emmetts Bend boat ramp also remains closed as construction continues.
However, much of the park is still accessible for visitors including the popular lakes, campgrounds and walking tracks.
There will be signs throughout the park to assist visitors.
Park visitors can also call at the Lake Hattah Visitor Centre for current information.
