Declaration of boating activity exemption - Australia Day fireworks

Parks Victoria as the declared waterway manager for the Yarra River upstream of port waters of the Port of Melbourne under the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic) makes the following declaration under section 203(3) of the Act.
For the purposes of the presentation of the Australia Day Fireworks display (in Victoria Harbour) by ShowFX Pty Ltd in their application of 8 October 2013 under section 203(1) of the Act, vessels involved in the fireworks display are exempt from the requirements of clause 3.3 (c) (i) of Schedule 3 of the Notice under the Marine Act 1988 (prohibiting the mooring and or berthing on the waters of the Yarra River upstream of the Port of Melbourne to Dights Falls).
The exemption applies from 8.45pm to 10.30pm on Sunday 26 January 2014, provided the stated safety controls and undertakings detailed in the Event Application and associated documentation are adhered to.
