NOTICE CONTROLLING NAVIGATION IN THE VICINITY OF WORKS

Parks Victoria, as the declared waterway manager for the port waters of the Local Port of Port Phillip and in the vicinity of the Portarlington Safe Harbour Precinct under the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic) (Act), makes the following notice under section 211 (1)(b) of the Act.

For the purposes of works by P W Johnson Constructions Pty Ltd on behalf of Parks Victoria for the demolition of the existing timber finger jetty (east), and the existing timber wharf (west) and the installation of mooring piles (east) and the construction of a new western wharf as part of the Portarlington Safe Harbour Project, the navigation and movement vessels in the works areas during the times detailed in Table 1 and Table 2 and the attached plan, is prohibited, excluding vessels involved directly in the works and Parks Victoria vessels.

The exclusion zones will be delineated by lit Conical Yellow Special Mark Buoys at approximately 50 metre intervals with the flash sequences Fl.Y.5s.
