NOTICE CONTROLLING NAVIGATION IN THE VICINITY OF WORKS
Parks Victoria, as the declared waterway manager for the waters of the Yarra River upstream of the port waters of the Port of Melbourne, makes the following notice under section 211(1)(b)(i) of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Act).
For the purposes of the works activity proposed by Fitzgerald Constructions Australia Pty Ltd for the partial demolition of Swan Street Bridge over the Yarra River, under section 211 (1)(b)(i) of the Act, all vessels and persons, excluding vessels involved in the works and Parks Victoria vessels, are prohibited from entering or remaining on the waters as detailed in Table 1.
The prohibited areas will be signed and marked by lit yellow water communication buoys.
Work zone 1
Waters around the temporary load out jetty located on the northern bank 350 metres downstream of Swan Street Bridge, extending 25 metres from the northern bank and 100 metres upstream and downstream from the temporary load out jetty. The temporary load out jetty will be marked by lit yellow water communication and line buoys.

Work zone 2
Waters under any Swan Street Bridge arch, extending 50 metres upstream and downstream from the East and West drip line of Swan Street Bridge. Prohibited arches will be signed and marked by lit yellow water communication and line buoys.
2 arches will always be open for navigation, unless closed for barge relocation.
7.00 am to 5.00 pm
Monday to Sunday
25 August 2017 to 31 March 2018
All waters under Swan Street Bridge arches closed for barge relocation.
10.00 am to 11.00 am
As managed by Parks Victoria and advised in weekly Notice to River Users (NTRU).
The prohibited areas have effect from 7.00 am 25 August 2017 through to 5.00 pm 31 March 2018.
