NOTICE OF BOATING ACTIVITY EXCLUSION ZONE
Parks Victoria, as the declared waterway manager for the waters of the Yarra River upstream of the port waters of the Port of Melbourne, makes the following notice under section 208(2) of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Act).
For the purposes of the Event Installation activity proposed by Melbourne Food and Wine Festival for the Melbourne Water Floating Produce Bowl on pontoons on the Yarra River between Princess Bridge and the South Bank Footbridge, under section 208 (2) of the act, all persons and vessels not involved in the installation of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival event pontoons are prohibited from entering or remaining on the waters of the Yarra River (In the Flinders Landing area between Princess Bridge and the South Bank footbridge) in an area bounded by buoys extending 13m from the waters’ edge in line with the edges of the pontoons.
The exclusion zone takes effect between 7.00am Thursday 30 March 2017 to 5.00pm Monday 3 April 2017.
