Spectacle Lake bird hide is one of the best places to view some of the 200 species of birds that visit Point Cook. Please keep to the access track and stay in the hide to avoid disturbing birds on the lake.

 

Accessibility Information

The total distance from the carpark to the bird hide at Spectacle Lake is 205 metres. Entry to the bird hide is off a boardwalk through a 950 millimetre door.

Spectacle Lake bird hide

There is a wheelchair position In the centre of the bird hide. It has a roll-under section, lower bench for binoculars and cameras and dual-height observation viewing slits. The slides are hinged and held in place by a large wooden latch that can be operated without finger dexterity.
