The Flinders Jetty is well known for the abundance of squid caught, especially during spring months. Numerous other species have been caught off this jetty, including: King George whiting, Australian Salmon, silver trevally, wrasse, leatherjackets, barracouta and short finned pike. Nearby Bass Park offers barbeques, walking trails and a playground. Public toilets are available at the pier.
