Short walk

Relax and enjoy a picnic or a short, family-friendly walk to nearby Stony Creek Reservoir.

The Anakie Gorge Walk (3km, 1 hour one way) also departs from the picnic area. The walk leads through Anakie Gorge along a relatively flat gradient. Signs explain interesting features along the way. 


Vehicle access available from Switch Road. 


  • Wood barbecues (BYO wood)
  • Single gas barbecue
  • Toilets
  • Tables and seats
  • Picnic shelter
  • Untreated tank water only - take drinking water with you
  • No rubbish bins are provided – take your rubbish with you


Dogs and other animals are not permitted.
