Two all terrain beach wheelchairs - an adult size and a child size - are available for park visitors who are frail or who have a physical disability. The chairs are suited for sandy and semi rough track surfaces that are not accessible with conventional wheelchairs. They disassemble to fit in the back of a station wagon. A reasonably strong and fit person is required to push the chair on the beach and on trails with significant gradients.

Adult all terrain beach wheelchair
A TrailRider chair is also available and is suited for adults and older children. TrailRiders are designed for rugged track surfaces that are not accessible with conventional wheelchairs. Two operators, or sherpas, are required to operate the chair and the passenger is required to wear a bike helmet. Passengers are required to provide their own helmet. The chair can be disassembled to fit in the back of most station wagons.

The chairs can be borrowed for free and may be booked in advance by contacting Cape Conran Coastal Park Cabins and Camping on (03) 5154 8438. Best access to the beach using the chair is at Sailors Grave Day Visitor Area.
All-terrain wheelchairs are also available for use at the Grampians, Wilsons Promontory and Point Nepean National Parks.
