Education at Dandenong Ranges
An environmental Education Centre is located in the historic kiosk at the bottom of the Kokoda Track in the Ferntree Gully Picnic Ground.
A variety of hands-on curriculum based programs can be delivered in the park. The Education Officer can tailor excursion programs to meet specific class requirements - covering topics such as Sustainability, Park Management, Threatened Species, Kokoda History, Fire (natural disasters), Rainforest Ecology and VCE Biology, Geography and Outdoor & Environment.
Also at Ferntree Gully Picnic Ground is the Forest Classroom. Visit www.forestclassroom.com.au for an extensive range of teaching and learning resources on Dandenong Ranges National Park and to find out more about the Forest Classroom.
