Works to re-develop the popular Zumsteins Historic Picnic Area in the Grampians National Park are set to begin in March 2013. The major works, that will include a new carpark and picnic area, are being undertaken after the area was severely damaged by floods in 2011. The works come after a year of extensive planning surrounding the project. Parks Victoria worked closely with The Grampians National Park Advisory Group, the Zumsteins Flood Recovery Community Working Group, designers and engineers to complete detailed plans and designs for re-developing the area.
For more information, view the final plans and designs for Zumsteins Historic Area below or in person at Brambuk, The National Park and Cultural Centre - Halls Gap.
