Suitable for standard manual wheelchairs, electric scooters, strollers and all terrain wheelchairs. Visitors to this section of the Great Ocean Walk must travel in an east to west direction.

Time taken to complete walk: 30 minutes

This section of the Great Ocean Walk starts at the Gibson Steps car park and has of a 1.5 metre path with a compact gravel surface. The path surface has some loose gravel, about 20 milimetres, which may cause difficulty for small wheels on wheelchairs and strollers.


After leaving Gibson Steps car park, the walk crosses underneath the Great Ocean Road and follows parallel to the road until it reaches the Visitor Centre.


The walk takes you through coastal heathland and views of the coast can be seen from behind. There are some small sloped sections on the walk but these are no greater than a 1:14 in gradient. The walk finishes at the rear entrance of the Twelve Apostles Visitor Centre.


There is designated accessible parking at Gibson Steps and at the Twelve Apostles Visitor Centre.

There is a unisex accessible toilet at the Twelve Apostles Visitor Centre.
