  • The gravel section of Mount Buffalo Road, from just past Cresta Car Park to The Horn Picnic Area will be closed from Monday 15 to Friday 19 February inclusive due to roadworks. at The Horn Picnic Area

The Horn is the higest point of Mount Buffalo at 1,723 metres.

Picnic tables are provided at this site. The nearest toilets to the Horn Picnic Area are located at Cathedral Saddle.

The Horn Track (1.5 km, 45 minutes return) leads to a lookout with superb 360 degree views of the plateau and Australian Alps.

Please note: Road access is narrow and winding with a gravel surface. The road is not suitable for trailers, buses and large motorhomes due to the absence of a turning circle.
