Shipwreck Walk begins from the the main carpark and extends along the side of the Gorge. There is a small designated viewing area, locally known as the SES lookout, a few metres down the path. This viewing area provides a side view of the Gorge. It may be difficult getting a clear view from a seated position because of vegetation growth.
The main path of Shipwreck Walk continues around the side of the Gorge to a main designated viewing area. This viewing platform overlooks the entrance to the Loch Ard Gorge and Muttonbird Island. This viewing area consists of pool-style fencing which may partially obstruct the quality of the view if in a seated position.
