Accessibility Information
The Tidal Block has some of the most accessible toilet and shower facilities in the Tidal River camping ground. This block has two buildings linked to each other containing several amenities. It has separate male and female toilets/showers and a launderette. It also has separate accessible male and female toilets and separate accessible male and female showers.

The accessible male and female toilets and shower rooms are accessed externally. The accessible toilet cubicles consist of a toilet, fold down baby change table, a washbasin and mirror. The entrance to the accessible toilets have entrances approximately 800mm wide with outward swinging doors. The men’s toilet cubicle area has limited space for maneuverability (2.2m long x 1.4m wide). The women’s toilet cubicle is slightly bigger (2.4m long x 1.5m wide). Both toilets have grab railings on one wall and behind the toilet. They have a small washbasin with a lever style tap.

The accessible shower rooms have an entrance width and door style the same as the accessible toilet cubicles. Inside the shower room is a long bench seat for sitting under the shower and for dressing. There is grab railing under the shower on two walls and a height adjustable shower. The shower nozzle is also detachable from the wall.

There is no washbasin or vanity mirror in the accessible shower rooms. The washbasins and mirrors in the main toilet/shower blocks service these rooms. The washbasins in the main area are reasonably accessible but the mirrors in these rooms may be too high for most people in a wheelchair.
