Carpark to unit

There is parking for two standard size vehicles within a few metres to the front entrance of the accessible unit. These parking bays are on reasonably level ground and have a compacted gravel surface. The parking has been specifically allocated for this unit. There is a wide, reasonably level, compacted gravel path leading from the carpark to the front entrance of the unit.

The entrance ramp to the unit is very wide with grab railings on both sides. There is plenty of room for wheelchairs to manoeuvre when opening the front door.

The front entrance doorway is wider than a standard doorway and the door handles/latches are easy to operate and reach from a seated position.

The parking bays are located to the right of the garden and mulched area shown in the below image.

Kitchen

The kitchen is designed for visitors in wheelchairs to be able to use it independently. The kitchen bench, stove and sink can be easily reached from a seated position.

Most kitchen utensils are within easy reach. Unfortunately, there is not much room on the kitchen bench top for food preparation and visitors may have to use the kitchen table provided, if needed. The kitchen table is positioned for a visitor in a wheelchair, plus two other visitors.  It can be easily moved if needed.

It enables visitors to hand wash clothes and rinse swimwear in clean water. There is no washing machine or dryer in the unit and visitors would have to use the amenities block in the campground.

Lounge area

The lounge backs onto the kitchen as an open plan area. It has a large modular lounge suite and visitors seated can see views of the surrounding ranges.
