Parks Victoria is developing a detailed site plan for the Studley Park and Loop Picnic Area, Yarra Bend Park to rejuvenate one of Melbourne iconic destinations on the banks of the Yarra River. The aim of this project is to improve the visitor experience by upgrading and relocating visitor facilities; by improving the walking and cycling connections and; by improving the recreational opportunities to encourage visitors to explore and enjoy more of the park.

The detailed site plan will:

  • Balance the facilities to improve the visitor experience;
  • Explore the interpretation of the Indigenous and European values of the park;
  • Explore pedestrian and cycle connectivity both within the park and to surrounding facilities; and
  • Explore opportunities to model resource efficiency and sustainability.

Parks Victoria welcomes your input into the development of this plan.
