Excursions

A visit to one of Parks Victoria’s natural or historic sites will help inspire your students to learn more about Victoria’s natural environment, culture and heritage. Outdoor experiences help connect students to nature and can be great for personal development, health and well-being as well.

With hundreds of locations across the state, Parks Victoria and its partners provide a diverse range of opportunities for experiential learning.

Parks Victoria Education Centres

Curriculum-based programs delivered at our Education Centres will engage your students as they explore and learn about Victoria’s natural areas and historic sites.

Ranger talks and activities

Rangers at many parks can deliver talks and activities on request (subject to availability).

Teaching activities

Parks Victoria has developed a range of activities that you can use with your students on your next park visit.

Licensed tour operators

Licensed tour operators can run a range of outdoor recreational and educational activities for your school. To find the contact details for these operators use the Explore section to find the park page you wish to visit. The list of licensed tour operators for each park can be found by clicking on Tours.

School-Park partnerships

Looking for more than an excursion? Parks Victoria may be able to partner with your school on a longer-term project where students work on a conservation project alongside our park rangers.
