Proposed Guided Canopy Tour – Toolangi State Forest
Australian ZipLine Canopy Tours is proposing a new tourism attraction in the Toolangi State Forest. The proposed education and adventure Guided Canopy Tour is in a small area of the forest, where visitors would traverse the forest canopy on ziplines, or "flying fox" style rides, built high in the forest canopy.
Extensive community and stakeholder consultation has occurred to determine the level of support for the proposed guided canopy tour. This included a feedback questionnaire, advertising, an open-house meeting with community members and a site visit with industry representatives.
What Next?
Following analysis of the feedback questionnaire:
- Australian Zipline Canopy Tours will propose the route of the Canopy Tour
- An Environmental and Cultural Assessment will be conducted
- The proposal will go through the appropriate approvals process
