Rehabilitation works at Macedon Regional Park commence Tuesday

Friday 29 June, 2018

Works to rehabilitate native plants and habitat around Sanatorium Lake in Macedon Regional Park are set to continue next week.

Following the removal of 0.8 hectares of invasive, non-native trees from around the lake, Parks Victoria will commence a second stage of works, which will include cleaning up the area, mulching, and spraying to prevent further growth.

These works will prepare the area for revegetation so that the site can transition back to a healthy native forest.

The works are expected to commence on Tuesday 3 July and take approximately three days to complete, subject to weather conditions.
