NOTICE CONTROLLING NAVIGATION IN THE VICINITY OF WORKS

Parks Victoria, as the declared waterway manager for the waters of the Local Port of Port Phillip and the Patterson River Upstream of the Nepean Highway Bridge to Eumemmering Creek, makes the following notice under section 211(1)(b)(i) of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (the Act).

For the purposes of the works activity proposed by Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA) subcontractors to the LXRA, United Energy, will undertake works to isolate and decommission the High voltage and Low voltage overhead conductors which traverse the Patterson River, east of the existing rail and Nepean Highway bridges.

Under section 211 (1)(b)(i) of the Act, all vessels and persons, excluding those involved in the works or as authorized by Parks Victoria, are prohibited from entering or remaining on the waters of the Patterson River extending 50 metres upstream and downstream of the Patterson River Nepean Highway Bridge, as marked by red and yellow buoys.

This exclusion zone has effect for the duration of the works from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday 11 January 2018.

Times and dates are subject to change. Changes to time or dates will be advised on the Parks Victoria web site and via a Notice to Mariners (NTM).
