To protect and improve Victoria’s parks and waterways for people forever.
Objectives
- To conserve park and waterway ecosystems
- To protect cultural heritage in parks
- To deliver better opportunities for people to use their parks and waterways
- To prepare for, respond to and recover from fire and other emergencies.
Principles
- We conserve the environment of the places we manage for current and future generations
- We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the places we manage
- We respect and protect the culture and heritage of the places we manage
- We recognise the fundamental role of natural environments to human health
- We plan and manage places to support use by all abilities and a diverse community
- We plan and manage public land on behalf of and in partnership with the community
- We observe the values expressed in the Public Sector Code of Conduct.
Friends help blitz invasive weeds at You Yangs

Community groups recently joined forces with Parks Victoria to tackle invasive weeds and protect biodiversity in a Boneseed Blitz at You Yangs Regional Park.
