Cowes Jetty on Phillip Island was built in 1870 and remains a focal point of the town of Cowes. It is flanked by sheltered beaches which are a popular attraction for families. There are numerous facilities within walking distance from the pier including, toilets, barbeques and playgrounds. Arcoss the road in the town of Cowes are numerous cafes, resturants and shops.

Fishing is a major attraction to the Cowes Jetty with numerour fish species available, including: squid, King George whiting, Australian salmon, silver trevally, gummy shark, elephant fish, barracouta, snapper, flathead and garfish. This pier is exposed in strong northerly winds. Fishing from the pier is much more comfortable with southerly wind conditions.
