An all-terrain wheelchair called a Hippocampe is now available at Coolart for use by visitors with restricted mobility. It is ideally suited for the sandy and semi-rough walking track surfaces found at Coolart that are not accessible with conventional wheelchairs.
A reasonably strong and fit person is required to push the chair on the beach and on trails with significant gradients. The chair is most suited to children and medium sized adults weighing up to 90kg. The chair can be borrowed for free on arrival or pre-booked by contacting the Coolart office on (03) 5931 4000.
