  • Flood Recovery - Many areas of Mount Buangor State Park were damaged by fire in 2010 and heavy rainfall and storms in early 2011. Park staff have commenced repairing roads, walking tracks and visitor facilities which will continue for some time. at Mount Buangor State Park

Explore a variety of landscapes including eucalypt forest, creek flats, waterfalls and steep escarpments. From the peak of Mount Buangor, the highest in the area, you can experience spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

There is a 15km network of walking tracks in the park; many extend into the adjoining Mount Cole State Forest. Middle Creek is a good spot for large groups to camp or for camping in caravans.

Through their cultural traditions, Aboriginal people maintain their connection to their ancestral lands and waters. Ferntree Picnic Area

The Waterfalls Nature Walk Begins at Ferntree picnic area, is a short walk suited to most people. The walk leads to the Ferntree Waterfalls and the upper sections of Middle Creek.
