Located mid-way across the plateau, Dingo Dell at 1,400 metres above sea level and about 30 km from Porepunkah is open throughout the snow season.
Facilities at Dingo Dell include a designated toboggan slope, first aid, take away food and drink, a large eating area, toilets and change rooms.
Toboganning
The toboggan area is only available when there is adequate snow. Under these conditions sites will be set aside by way of fencing and signage.
Check snow report on www.ski.com.au each day or local ski hire. There is no cost for use of the toboggan slope. It’s a great site with lots of room to toboggan and build snow men or just enjoy the sights and sounds of people having fun in this stunning sub alpine environment.
The toboggan slope is open from 9.30am - 4.00pm when conditions are suitable. Toboggan hire is available from the cafe.
Visitor centre
The Dingo Dell Day Visitor Centre provides a comfortably heated area where visitors can relax and enjoy hot food and drinks and take a moment of respite from the elements.
Inside the visitor centre at Dingo Dell you will find a range of park information including Junior Ranger activity sheets, What's On programs, park notes containing walking track maps and track notes as well as a range of fire ready information.
Access to the site is from the car park on Mt Buffalo Road. Just follow the signs on foot 300m from the car park to the Day Visitor Centre and toboggan run. Access for the less able can be organised through the Mt Buffalo park office on 5755 1466.
Opening times
Day visitor centre - 9.30am - 4.00pm throughout the snow season.
Cafe - 10am - 3pm during September school holidays (24 Sep - 9 Oct) and Melbourne Cup weekend (29 Oct - 1 Nov).
Car parking
Vehicle parking at Dingo Dell is available at the large car park on the Mount Buffalo Tourist Road. Follow the signs on foot to the toboggan run.
Vehicle access for disabled visitors can be organised by notifying the park office prior to your visit on 03 5755 1466.
