The National Rhododendron Gardens are host to brilliantly coloured blooms of rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, cherries and daffodils. Seasonal changes ensure the gardens are a delight all year around.
When not in bloom, you can still soak in the beauty of rich bark textures, seed capsules, foliage shapes and beautiful fragrance as you stroll through the grounds.
The National Rhododendron Gardens are open 10.00am to 5.00pm daily except Christmas Day. Entrance to the gardens is free.
The garden may close during dangerous weather conditions, high fire risk or for major works. Check current conditions on the day of your planned visit to confirm it is open.
The park is located 500 metres from the Olinda township along the Olinda – Monbulk Road. Turn into The Georgian Road. The car park entrance is 50 metres on the right. Melways reference 66 K6.
Visitors to the garden can enjoy a 25 minute non-stop guided tour on the Garden Explorer from 8 September through to mid-November. The Garden Explorer vehicle is a 24 seater bus which provides comfort and protection to its passengers sitting high to better view the magnificent garden.
Entrance to the gardens is free.
Fees for the Garden Explorer:
| Adults | $8 |
| Australian Concession card holders | $5 |
| Students/Children | $5 |
| Children under 5 | Free |
| Family (2 Adults and up to four children) | $25 |
| Group bookings | Call 0412 351296 or email info@yarravalleytransfers.com.au |
Please note that passengers will need to walk from the car park to the Garden Explorer, approximately 60 metres. In addition they will need to climb three steps to board the bus. Unfortunately the bus does not provide wheelchair access.
