Tidal River offers self-contained cabins, huts, group lodges and Wilderness Retreats.
Outside of the summer ballot period accommodation can be pre-booked up to 12 months in advance by calling 13 1963.
Bookings are essential and minimum stays apply throughout the year.
Tidal River is also the main camping location in Wilsons Promontory National Park, offering 484 camping and caravan sites (including 20 powered) situated near the beach and river.
Summer ballot
Each year a ballot is held for booking Tidal River camping and accommodation (except Wilderness Retreats) for the five weeks from Christmas until late January.
Ballot applications are made online throughout the month of June. To keep the ballot fair to all entrants, applications which stand at the close of the ballot are considered final and a cancellation fee applies to any withdrawal of a successful application after the draw has taken place. Minimum stays apply.

Cabins
Cabins accommodate up to six people. They feature natural light and a timber deck area for outdoor relaxation. Facilities in two cabins are suitable for people with disabilities.
Features include:
- Spacious living area and fully equipped kitchen with microwave and two small fridges.
- One bedroom with queen sized bed and one bedroom with two bunk beds.
- Linen and towels are provided.
- Bathroom, most with a bath tub.
- Gas heating

Huts
These one room huts can accommodate either four or six people in bunk beds. Guests provide their own linen, blankets, pillow and towels and make use of the nearby campground ammenities.
Features include:
- 4 burner stove with oven/grill.
- Small fridge.
- Sink with cold water.
- Crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.
- Linen and towel hire is available on request.
- Gas heating.

Group Lodges
Perfect for schools, family groups, clubs and tour groups. Lodges can accommodate groups of 12, 24 or 30 people. Blankets and pillows are supplied however guests provide their own linen and towels.
Features include:
- Central living/dining area.
- Fully equipped kitchen, with microwave.
- Linen and towel hire is available on request.
- Bathrooms (some with facilities for people with disabilities).
- Gas heating and barbecue.

Wilderness Retreats
Wilderness Retreats (not included in summer ballot) offer visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature while staying in high comfort, low impact, safari-style tents.
Lorikeet Units
The Lorikeet units sustained extensive flood damage in early 2011 and remain closed to bookings until further notice.
