Volunteer planting day

1 year ago from Parks Victoria

Location: Friends groups

A friends group is a team of people who are interested in and support a particular park, conservation reserve or species of native flora or fauna.

There are hundreds of friends groups helping to maintain and protect Victoria’s parks.

Friends groups vary in size, activities and structure. Some groups have weekly activities, others have monthly activities. Some groups have formal membership, but it is not necessary to belong to a group to join in its activities - visitors are welcome.

Friends groups are autonomous, but work in partnership with Parks Victoria.

For information or assistance with establishing a friends group visit the Victorian Friends Network.

Friends groups can be found through the A-Z listing or under 'related groups' on the relevant park page .
