A friends’ group is a team of people with an interest in supporting a particular park, conservation reserve or species of native flora or fauna. There are more than 100 different groups helping Parks Victoria to maintain and protect the diverse network of parks.
Friends groups vary in size, activities and structure. Groups usually meet and volunteer weekly or monthly but some volunteers are in the park every day, and visitors are always welcome to attend. Group contact details are listed below and under 'related groups' on the relevant park page.
Friends' groups and activities will soon be listed on www.parkconnect.vic.gov.au. Existing Friends' groups can contact firstname.lastname@example.org to join a training session to learn how to maintain their group's contact details and list upcoming activities. If you would like to form a new group simply register at www.parkconnect.vic.gov.au and use the "start a group" option.
