Heritage Icons Projects

Parks Victoria is responsible for managing the state’s largest and most diverse collection of heritage places on public land. From buildings to shipwrecks to archaeological sites, Parks Victoria maintains a vast collection of heritage places and objects – providing the community with opportunities to re-engage with, reinterpret and learn from the past.

A $16.5 million investment from the Victorian Government will continue Parks Victoria’s important heritage work by restoring and repairing iconic sites across the state - preserving and protecting them for future generations to visit.

While the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is leading the project to repair Cape Otway Lightstation, all other Heritage Icons projects are being managed by Parks Victoria. Further details on these projects can be found on the pages below.
